Window and door reveal finishing — Pula and Istria

After a window or door is replaced there is almost always damage to the wall around the frame — chipped edges, old render and visible traces of installation. Reveal finishing is the final step that turns new joinery into a genuinely tidy opening: wall repair, skim coating and preparation for painting. We do internal reveals and, where technically feasible, external ones too.

Reveal finishing after window replacement

During joinery replacement the wall around the frame almost always suffers — cracked render, chipped edges, joints with expanding foam. Reveal finishing starts with cleaning and filling, continues with multi-layer skim coating and ends with sanding to a smooth, flat surface ready for paint.

Reveal finishing after door installation

After replacing entry or balcony doors the same approach applies — with extra attention at the lower part of the reveal where cracks and small chips are most common.

Skim coating the reveals

Skim coating is done in two to three layers with sanding between coats. The aim is a flat, smooth surface with no visible transition between old and new render, ready for dispersion paint.

Final painting

By agreement we also carry out the final coat on the reveals and surrounding wall. If a whole room is being refreshed it usually makes sense to combine this with a standard interior painting job in the same slot.
